For a first taste of mountain bike day tours in the Atlas Mountains, welcome to the preserverd Anougal Valley for an unforgettable ride.
Amizmiz
Meet your guide at your hotel at 08h30 and transfer by 4x4 to the town of Amizmiz and follow the road up to the high plateaus of Toulkine. We prepare our bikes near the village of Azgour at 1500m and then we can start our mtb adventure on a dirt track and discover the first Berber villages. After a short climb, we will cross a pass and enjoy a superb fast flowing section on a dry wadi. After the quite pine forest, we will join the the superb village of Imi n’Tala where we will be welcomed in a local family for a rewarding Tagine and a refreshing mint tea. In the afternoon we will ride through a succession of typical villages along the amazing Anougal Valley. We will then leave the dirt track to ride a beautiful single track to the end of our biking stage near Amizmiz. After packing our bikes on top of the 4x4, a 1h drive transfer will bring you back to Marrakech and your hotel.

The Area
This tour takes place 50 km south west of Marrakech in the area of Amizmiz on the foothills of the Atlas Mountains between 1500m and 900m high
Your Guide
A Moroccan english speaking mountain bike guide who will meet you at your hotel and stay with you the whole day. Before the mountain bike stage, he will give you a briefing about safety and the use of your bike. All along the day, he will give you explanations about the traversed area and the way of life of the local population. He can also assit you in case of injury or mechanic issues on your bike.
Your Bike
If you chose one of our bike rental options, your bike will be in perfect working condition, it will come with a helmet and standard pedals. If you use SPD pedals, please let us know upon booking.
The food
You won't have to worry on food or drink, we take care of everything. Mineral water will be supplied all day with a mix of dry fruits to refuel. For lunch we will organize an authentic stop at a Berber family house in the middle of a mountain village.
Assistance
You will have a full back up during this mountain bike day tour. A 4X4 vehicle, with a bike rack, will be following behind at a reasonable distance in case of emergency or tiredness.
